Pete's 100th - Portland ME

ADVANCE SALES ARE NOW CLOSED, however there are still plenty of tickets for this concert at the door. No one turned away for lack of funds. Doors open at 6:15. Street parking is free on Sundays in Portland but may take a while to find so we suggest you arrive early to find parking.

Our Pete's 100th concerts have been full and enthusiastic all across New England! Come join us for this our final celebration of the life and work of Pete Seeger on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

If you bought tickets online, you will receive an email shortly confirming your purchase. Go to the "will call" list when you arrive and give the last name of the person who bought the tickets. You do not need to bring anything with you as confirmation.

Songleader/performers: The concert will feature Annie Patterson & Peter Blood (creators of Rise Up Singing and Rise Again) along with Emma's Revolution (Pat Humphries & Sandy O) and Charlie King - all of whom worked closely with Pete during his lifetime. Pat was singing to Pete Seeger in his hospital room when he died in January 2014.

Singing together. We will be singing out of If I Had a Hammer, a new collection of songs that Pete wrote or was great at performing and leading. We have created this songbook especially to honor the 100th anniversary of Pete Seeger's birth. If you bought a book to pick up online your name will be on a list. If not, you can buy a songbook when you arrive or borrow a copy during the concert and return it afterwards.

Tickets:  Plenty of tickets still available at the door for a suggested donation of $20-30 ("Be generous! Be affordable!")  No one turned away for lack of funds. (We really mean this!)  Patron tickets ($50) include a copy of the large edition of If I Had a Hammer signed by all the artists performing tonight.

ONLINE TICKET ORDERS: Our website is not sending email confirmations at this time because of a glitch in our system that we are in the process of fixing. If you ordered one or more tickets all you need to do is give your name at the "Will Call" table the night of the concert. No paper ticket or receipt will be necessary. Our apologies for this inconvenience! We will mail out a mass email confirmation mailing on Sunday afternoon.~ Peter & Annie

Solidarity. This concert is a benefit for Maine Poor People's Campaign to support the crucial work they are doing for a more just and equitable society. It will also celebrate the many other groups in Southern Maine working for the things Pete and Toshi believed in and worked for. If your social justice organization would like to table during the intermission, please contact Diane Dicranian.
