The Wyrd Sisters
The Wyrd sisters are a Canadian folk group originally formed in 1990 in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan. The group was originally a trio of founding members Kim Baryluk, Nancy Reinhold & Kim Segal, but later grew into a full band.
Their name represents three goddesses in Norse mythology also known as Urðr, Skuld & Verðandi - representing past, present & future. They spin threads of life, cut marks in the pole figures and measure people's destinies, which shows the fate of all human beings and gods.
