Alec Davison
Davison is an English Quaker lyricst. He has collaborated with an English Quaker composer Tony Biggin on a number of oratorio, the most well known of which is The Gates of Greenham, which was inspired by the women's encampment at Greenham Common, a peace encampment protesting against cruise missles loaded with nuclear bombs. The encampment took place from 1981 to 2000 reaching its peak in 1983-4.
They also collaborated in creating The Fire & the Hammer, an oratorio on the life and work of 17th century Quaker leader, George Fox.
