Leonard Cohen Memorial Concert
A Coffee House Evening in memory of Leonard Cohen’s Music
Cohen, the Canadian-born singer-songwriter who penned signature songs like "Hallelujah," "Suzanne," and "Bird on the Wire" died Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at the age of 82. He is considered one of the more influential writers of the folk genre. Performers will include:
Annie Patterson & Peter Blood (guitar, fiddle, banjo, cajón)
Matt Emmer (banjo)
Martin Levson (guitar)
Michael Nix (guitar, mandolin, etc.)
Chris Scanlon (guitar & bass)
Paul Storfer (guitar & percussion)
Pete Thomsen (guitar, keyboard, & drums)
Martin is the Cantor at Sinai Temple congregation. The concert is being produced by Sheri Levson. Suggested donation: $5 - for Rachel's Table Food Donation and Rescue. (Rachel's Table helps feed hungry people in Springfield area. This is the time of year when those fortunate enough to have plenty to eat tend to eat a great deal. We want to help those who are not quite as fortunate.)
